MAC To Open Postseason Play Against Three Rivers

The Mineral Area College baseball team will open postseason play on Saturday, May 6 against 4th seeded Three Rivers College at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau, MO in a best-of-three sub-regional series.  The Cardinals recently wrapped up the regular season at 33-20 overall and 14-14 in Region 16 play, receiving the #5 seed for the sub-regional tournament.  On Saturday, MAC will take on Three Rivers at Capaha Park in two nine inning games starting at 1:00pm.  The "if necessary" game would be played on Sunday, May 7 at Three Rivers College.  The winner of this weekend's sub-regional will advance to the Region 16 Tournament in Joplin, MO starting on Thursday, May 11.
