Cardinals Sweep Metropolitan CC In 4-Game Series

The Mineral Area College baseball team traveled to Kansas City, MO to take on Metropolitan CC in a 4-game series on Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29.  The Cardinals pulled away in the 7^th inning of game one to win by a score of 11-0.  MAC then went on two win the next three of the series by scores of 16-8, 20-4 and 18-9 to complete the 4-game sweep. 

Offensively, the Cardinals were led by Noah Cassie (4 home runs, 10 RBI) and Diego Andino (2 home runs, 11 RBI, 2 SB).

With the 4-game sweep over Metropolitan CC, the Cardinals improved to 17-17 overall and 8-8 in Region 16 play.  MAC will return to action on Tuesday, April 2 when they host Moberly Area CC for a noon double-header.
