Cardinals Take Down #10 St. Charles, Enter Rankings At #18

The MAC men's soccer team came away with a key win over #10 St. Charles CC on Saturday, September 16 to stay undefeated.

In Saturday's match, St. Charles claimed an early 1-0 lead when they were able to find the back of the net at 10:00.  The match remained 1-0 going into the half.

In the second half, the Cardinals battled back with a goal from Alex Wilkinson at 59:00.  Shay Carey added another tally for MAC at 79:00 to give the Cardinals a 2-1 lead.  MAC was able to hold on for a 2-1 win.  Josh Wilson made five saves and picked up with win in net.

With the win over St. Charles, MAC improved to 8-0-1 overall, 2-0-1 in MCCAC play and 2-0-1 in Region 16 play.  The Cardinals also entered the NJCAA D2 Men's Soccer Rankings at #18.  The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, September 23 at home against #8 St. Louis CC.
