MAC Enters Top 10 In NJCAA Poll After 5-3 Win Over #8 STLCC
The MAC men's soccer team came away with a huge win on Saturday, September 23 against #8 STLCC.
In Saturday's match, the Archers struck first with a goal at 12:00 but Chalon Domian responded for the Cardinals to make it 1-1. STLCC was again able to find the back of the net, this time in the 24th minute and took a 2-1 lead into the half.
In the second half, STLCC pushed their lead to 3-1 with a goal at 54:00. Following the goal at 54:00, it was all Cardinals, as they scored at 63:00 (Alex Wilkinson), 65:00 (Jack Taylor), 66:00 (Jack Jackson), and 88:00 (Tom Walton) to win by a final of 5-3.
With the win over #8 STLCC, MAC moved up to #10 in the nation. They also improved to 9-0-1 overall, 3-0 in Region 16/MCCAC play and secured the #1 seed for the Region 16 Tournament in October. The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, September 30 when they play host to Crowder College at 4:00pm.
