Cardinals Fall To Cougars In Region Semifinal

The MAC men's soccer team took on St. Charles CC on Tuesday, October 24 with a trip to the Region 16 Championship on the line.  In Tuesday's match, the Cougars got on the board first, with a goal at 12:00 to make it 1-0.  The score remained the same until St. Charles added to their lead with a goal at 50:00 but Jack Taylor found the back of the net at 55:00 to pull the Cardinals within one.  At 60:00, Orran Mushet found the back of the net to tie the match at two.  MAC finally took a 3-2 lead with a goal from Chalon Domian at 85:00 but St. Charles tied the game with a goal in the 90th minute.  The game remained scoreless through two overtimes and went to PKs, where St. Charles came away victorious 4-3.

With the loss, MAC fell to 12-1-3 and was eliminated from the Region 16 tournament.  The Cardinals will now have to wait to see if they are chosen as an at-large selection for the NJCAA D2 National Championship.
