With Track & Field Season Underway, Athletes Begin Qualifying For NJCAA National Meets
MINERAL AREA TRACK & FIELD TEAMS COMPETED WELL AT PRINCIPIA MEET-ELEVEN ATHLETES QUALIFIED FOR NATIONAL OUTDOOR MEET
The Mineral Area College Track and Field teams got their 2024 season off to a good start with competition at Principia College on Friday, January 26th and Saturday, January 27th. Over 20 schools competed in the 2 day meet, which helped the Cardinals have eleven athletes hit qualifying marks for the outdoor national meet. For the men, Anthony Treadwell and Austin Dunn not only qualified, but finished 1-2 in the Long Jump, with Dunn also qualifying in the Triple Jump. Trenton Braswell and Dale Propst-Shot Put, Sie'ntez Lerma-200-meter dash, and Bradley Ahrens-1500-meter run were the other MAC men to earn National qualifying marks.

The MAC teams now prepare for the outdoor season, which starts on Saturday, March 23 at Missouri S&T in Rolla, MO.
