Lerma & Braswell Lead #1 Cardinals, Earn National Athlete of the Week Honors

The Mineral Area College men's outoor track and field team continues to do well the spring.  On Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30, the Cardinals traveled to Cape Girardeau, MO to particpate in the Joey Haines Invitational.  On the men's side, Sie'ntez Lerma was a standout, finishing in 9th place in the 100 meter and setting a new PR while running against 4-year schools.  The performance earned Sie'ntez NJCAA National Track and Field Athlete of the Week for week 3.   In week two, Trenton Braswell also earned national player of the week honors for MAC after setting a PR in Discuss (46.52 M) and Hammer Throw (46 M).  

The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, April 6 when they travel to Jefferson City, MO to participate in the Lincoln University Invitational.
