MAC Goes 2-0 At Moberly Classic

The Mineral Area College women's basketball team opened the 2024-25 season going 2-0 at the Moberly Classic. 

On Friday, November, MAC started the season off with a bang, defeating Vincennes University by a final score of 87-69.  The win over Vincennes was also the first career win for Head Coach Carrie Shephard.  I Friday's win, MAC was led offensively by Kinley Norris, who netted 20 point and went 8-12 from three point range.  Other Cardinals scoring in double figures were Madison Ayers (19 points), Mariah Dallas (13 points), Ashley Buragas (10 points) and Casey Teague (10 points).

MAC kept their momentum going on Saturday, November 2 with another win, this time against Williams Baptist JV. (101-41) In Saturday's win, 10 different Cardinals found their way on the scoresheet.  Double digit scorers included Mariah Dallas, Madison Ayers, Kinley Norris, Marceline Clermont, Ashley Buragas, Skylar Sweeney, Casey Teague and Breanna Dohleman.

With the win over Williams Baptist, MAC improved to 2-0 on the young season.  The Cardinals will return to action on Wednesday, November 6 at Wabash Valley CC.
