In a hard-fought matchup, the State Fair Community College Roadrunners outlasted the Mineral Area College Cardinals 57-53.
Standout Performances
MAC's Ashley Buragas had a standout performance, scoring 15 points and contributing five rebounds. Marceline Clermont also had a significant impact, finishing with 12 points, including a perfect 6-10 from the free-throw line. Kinley Norris added 12 points off the bench, with most of her damage coming from beyond the arc, hitting four three-pointers.

State Fair's ability to capitalize on free-throws, shooting 66.7% from the line (14-21), was crucial to their victory. The Cardinals, on the other hand, struggled from deep, hitting only five of 19 three-point attempts (26.3%), which limited their offensive options.
The Roadrunners were also more efficient in terms of overall shooting percentage, connecting on 35.8% of their field goals compared to Mineral Area's 34.7%. Both teams had difficulty managing the ball, with State Fair committing 16 turnovers and Mineral Area committing 20. However, State Fair's ability to hit crucial shots down the stretch gave them the edge.
