MAC Gets First Win Of The Year Against #9 St. Charles

The MAC women's soccer team came away with their first win of the 2023 season on Saturday, September 16 against #9 St. Charles CC.

In the first half, the Cardinals struck first on a goal by Rylee Mirth at 25:00.  The match remained tied at the half.  In the second half, Emilia Wunderlich gave MAC a 2-0 lead in the 48^th minute but St. Charles quickly answered at 49:00 to get within a goal.  The Cardinals were able to hold on to the 2-1 lead, sealing the win.

With the win over St. Charles, MAC improved to 1-4-1 overall and 1-0 in MCCAC and Region 16 play.  The Cardinals return to the pitch on Wednesday, September 20 for a 4:00pm match against Lincoln Land CC.
