MAC Falls to #15 St. Louis In Final Minute
The MAC women's soccer team hosted #15 St. Louis CC on Saturday, September 23 in a big Region 16/MCCAC matchup.
In Saturday's match, the MAC jumped in front early when Iesha Rollins found the back of the net in the 26th minute. The match remained 1-0 at the half. In the second half, the Archers tied it at 1 with a goal at 49:00 and took a 2-1 lead with another tally at 62:00. The Lady Cardinals battled back late, getting a goal from Colleen Flanagan at 72:00. The score remained 2-2 until the 89th minute when STLCC scored on a corner kick and held on for a 3-2 win.
With the loss to STLCC, MAC moved to 2-5-1 overall and 1-1 in Region 16 and MCCAC play. The Lady Cardinals will return to action on Wednesday, September 27 for a 4:00pm home game against Central Methodist University JV.
