MAC Women's Indoor Regular Season Ends, Gerstner Qualifies For National Meet
The Mineral Area Track & Field teams completed the regular season for Indoor meets with competition on February 10th at the Titan Open in Bloomington, Illinois which was hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University, followed by the EIU Friday Night Special on February 17th at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. Several of the MAC athletes posted impressive times and distances, with 15 Cardinals already recording results that have earned them qualification into the NJCAA Division III National Outdoor meet in New York this May. Two of the athletes, Freshmen Bradley Ahrens and Emma Gerstner have one more Indoor meet to compete in as both have earned entry into the NJCAA National Indoor Championships on March 3rd and 4th on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Ahrens will compete in the 1 mile run and 800-meter run, while Gerstner will contest both the Long and Triple Jumps.

Outdoor season will get underway for the Cardinals on Saturday, March 25th, with a meet at Rolla, Missouri hosted by Missouri S & T.
