Bio

Tim Copeland is entering his 19th season as the Head Coach for the Cardinals. In his 18 years at MAC, he has an impressive overall coaching record of 494-205. In 2018, the Cardinals went 29-5, won the MCCAC Conference Championship, The District K Title, and advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament. MAC's best season in program history came under Copeland in 2017 when the Cardinals had an overall record of 36-2, won their second consecutive Region 16 Championship, won the District K Title (3rd overall), won an MCCAC Conference Championship as well as advancing to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament for the second consecutive season. During the NJCAA Tournament, MAC defeated #11 Laramie County (Wyoming) and #2 Iowa Western to claim a 6th place finish in the country.  They had three players receive All-American honors that played on that team.  In 2016, the Cardinals went 27-9. The Cardinals won their second Region XVI title, second District K title, and earned their second trip to NJCAA Division I National Tournament finishing 10th in the nation.

In 2011, the Lady Cardinals finished 10th in the nation & had an overall record of 35-7.  During this season, MAC won the MCCAC Conference Championship, a Region 16 Tournament title, as well as the District K Championship.  At the NJCAA National Tournament, MAC defeated Wallace State-Hanceville and powerhouse Miami-Dade to claim a 10th place finish. 

Tim's coaching career started in 1990 when he became a Student Assistant Coach at Jefferson College. The following year, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Volleyball Coach. He also took over the coaching responsibilities for the Jefferson Juniors, a USVBA club team.

Tim was at Jefferson College until 1994.  He then took the position of Head Volleyball Coach at Missouri Baptist University where he coached for 4 years and compiled a 113-42 record.  In 1999, Copeland returned to Jefferson College as an assistant up until being named Head Volleyball Coach at MAC in 2005.
