Women's XC Wins 4th Straight Region Title

The MAC Men and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Peculiar, Missouri on Friday, October 28th for competition at the Region 16 Championships.  The Running Cards came away with their 4th straight team titles for both genders, not only winning the Division 3 race but also coming out on top of team scores in the combined race with Division 1 and 2 schools.  For the Lady Cardinals, Freshman Riley Petsch paced the strong team effort by placing 2nd overall in 5 kilometer race, with Freshmen Julia Boyer (3rd) and Ava Laut (4th) also having good races.  Petsch and Boyher won All Region honors along with race winner Payden Pietrusinski from St. Charles. The MAC XC teams will finish their seasons this Saturday, November 5th at the NJCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships in Westfield, Massachusetts.  Both teams enter the meet with # 1 rankings and hope to finish the season with top team finishes and some All-American performances.
