Derek Williams named All-American
(6/15/22) MAC freshman and Mizzou commit Derek Williams was named Honorable Mention All-American by the NJCAA. Williams had a prolific offensive year for the Cardinals including setting the single-season home record for Mineral Area. Derek - an outfielder from Imperial, MO - had 25 home runs, 59 runs batted in and batted .366 for the conference champion Cardinals. He had a superlative .891 slugging percentage. Freshmen Gavin Oswald (Chesterfield, MO) and Liam Bushey (British Columbia) were also nominated for All-American honors. The Cardinals had a fantastic season this year winning their 2nd consecutive MCCAC conference championship.
