MAC Picks Up Decisive Win Over Northwest Iowa
The MAC women's soccer team came away with a 9-0 win over Northwest Iowa CC on Sunday, September 1 to improve to 4-1 on the season.
In addition to the abundance of scoring, Thea Draganova shined in goal to collect her third shutout of the season.
Key Performers for the Cardinals included:
- Iesha Rollins: A standout with a hat-trick and an assist, Rollins was a constant threat and a pivotal figure in the attacking third.
- Elsie Barker: Notching three goals, Barker was instrumental in securing the lead early on.
- Kaydie-Mae Morrin: With two goals and an assist, Morrin's contribution was crucial.
- Jersey Moonier: Providing a goal and an assist, Moonier's creativity and energy were key to breaking down the opposition's defense.
The Cardinals will return to action on Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4 at Pearl River CC. On Tuesday, MAC takes on #10 Pearl River CC at 6pm before kicking off against #2 Jones College on Wednesday. The Cardinals are currently 4-1 on the season.
